One Hundred Years of Solitude

Why I did not like this book:

1. It's confusing. There are a lot of characters (so many they drew a family tree for you at the beginning of the book) and they all have very similar names. It's not a leisurely read, you have to really be on top of every character to remember how it works for the later generations.
2. No dialogue. The book is one long long description
3. The incest. Come on, people.

Why I did like this book:

1. It does keep your interest. The characters are either insane, horndogs, or determined war veterans.
2. I liked the ending.
3. I've never read a book like it before. I can see why it won the Nobel Peace Prize, I don't think something like this could be duplicated easily.
