Very different from his other books. I didn't hate the protagonist and that was a new one. It's disturbing and Welsh delves into the nasty underground world of pedophilia and sexual violence. But unlike his other books he wasn't as graphic (thank God). Despite the darkness of the subject, it was good. I don't think I'd recommend this to everyone though...but I would read it if you like Welsh and you're used to his style.
