This was a pretty good suspenseful thriller. Narrated by the lone female survivor of a family that was killed in what appears execution style manner - done by her own confused older brother. This story takes place 20 years after the murders and his conviction when circumstances lead the narrator to reconsider her damning testimony against him. A very mysterious thriller with a surprise end. And often times, even when you think you try and guess at a way a book might end, this one still leaves you shocked.
A good thriller, funny at times (the narrator is a sarcastic, lazy, money grubbing thief), and even hard to read at times. But good. Libby Day, the "protagonist" is hard to like sometimes ....but who would be sweet after going what she went through. This is a perfect example of what happens to people when they feel worthless enough to do things they don't agree with...and the horrible domino effect is has, even nearly three decades after the fact.
