Perfect to read around Halloween! I really enjoyed this. Salem witches (hence the title, lace reader). Unsolved disappearances. And a protagonist with a faulty memory and a heavy past. I felt like the ending could have tied up more loose ends, but it doesn't kill the book completely that there is unsolved business in this very layered novel. It was interesting to read about Salem witches (with a bit of history on the town and innocent people put to death). I couldn't wait to read this at the end of the day, it was very well written with an addictive plot.
