This was a short thriller of a novel about a woman being stalked and harrassed in a small town in Vermont- and refuses to move or back down because of this tormentor. What happens when everyone else in the town, including the lone sheriff, doesn't want to help you because they know how dangerous this person is? What if the only consistent piece of advice she gets is to "leave". This was extremely suspenseful, insightful look into how the more "simple" people work when there is a problem in their lives. Simplicity doesn't mean that chivalry isn't alive and well. This was a well done western type novel and it focuses on the people who won't back down and will follow through with making change no matter the outcome.
