Okay, some of this story is corny...but I'm so into the characters now that I can't stop reading. Basically, this one is about "wolves" coming every generation and stealing children. When the children return, they are ruined in so many ways. So it's up to the gunslingers to find a way to stop it. (and it all relates to the dark tower)
On a related note that won't make sense unless you read the books...Ever wonder why those homeless people talk to themselves in the street? Or how someone could possible get so filthy dirty? Stephen King explains why (besides the obvious reason of them being paranoid schizo's) in these books.
Now whenever I see a homeless person being freaky I'm going to think of these books. And then they won't seem crazy at all.
