The Sisters Brothers

Just released. I found about it from a list of the top then books new this summer season. I really enjoyed this story about two infamous Western hitman brothers set in the 1850's. It is from the viewpoint of Eli, the quieter animal loving brother, who begins to have second thoughts about their occupation and the "Commodore"- the elusive man that employs them. In this novel you follow them through the journey of an "assigned" hit and the people they come across in their travels.

I loved the setting of this book. It was even interesting when Eli discovers how much better he feels after doing that "new" thing called brushing your teeth. I also enjoyed the relationship between the two brothers and was happy with the way it ended.

I wanted this to keep going.
